Introduction to Scouting
The Scout Association offers everyday adventure and activity to almost 400,000 young people across the UK. The Movement is the largest co-educational youth organisation in the world, with over 28 million Members in 216 countries and territories.
In the UK Scouting is organised through The Scout Association and has a clear purpose:
"To help young people achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as Members of their local, national and international communities."
We meet on a Tuesday (Cubs) and a Thursday (Beavers & Scouts) at the Emmanuel church hall on forest road in loughborough.
We offer a varied programme for all ages from 6 through to 14 and offer an excellent well balanced varity of activities
Whether your 6 or 60 there is a role available for you within 7th Loughborough Scout Group.
Young people can join one of the sections and if your an adult we are always looking for parent helpers and leaders on both the meeting nights and also when we go away camping.

The home page has had a revamp and is now looking great with a new blog for group leaders to use. This website is also currently undergoing tests from norton to check that the site is free from all viruses and therefore guantees it is safe to browse our website.

Brand new contact page for new members to use to contact the group. this will make it a lot quicker and easier to respond to new member enquirys.

New section pages are now active, but not much content on them yet. been trying out some blogs today and they seem to work so updating the site will become much easier soon.

New pages being designed for all sections, these should be ready by early march. The pages will be aimed at the section members and include programs and info from leaders.
10th November 2011.
Richard had a very successful meeting with Jonny and Dave about how to improve the website and move it into the 21st century. including adding blogs etc.
7th November 2011.
New group emails setup, this should now make it a lot easier to contact members of the scout group without having to hunt for a leaders personnal email address.
